Fortune 5

Fortune 5 is a cumulative score game based on the players ability to multiply combinations quickly while also factoring in bonus or the potential for bonus symbols. Players have 50 seconds to advance the board after choosing the tiles they feel will best help their cumulative score. As the below example shows, you need to use multipliers and calculate the points of each hand. Just because a hand “looks” better does not mean will score better! While learning it never hurts to have a calculator near by.

Fortune 5 Basic play overview

  1. The game will start after pay in.
  2. Click the tiles and bonus that you wish to keep.
  3. Click the “Mix Up” below the tiles. This will give new tiles in place of the ones that were not held.
  4. Total score will always display with the tiles, this represents the current score assuming you are keeping all the tiles shown.
  5. Players MUST advance the rounds to earn score. If the player fails to advance the resulting score is ZERO.

Score by gathering like symbols:

Advanced Play

Contest format

You are playing vs other players, the only goal of Fortune 5 is to beat other players by exceeding the high score * “please see best in 12” or be the first player to match or exceed the static target score.

Main tiles

There are 5 main tiles. Main tiles will display only basic symbols or basic symbols in a multiplier format. Main tiles are not stand alone and are affected by the symbols displayed in the “bumper tiles”, meaning to get 6+ like symbols you must utilize bumper tiles as well as explained next. Multiplier symbols will only appear in the main tiles, note that multiplier tiles only affect to multiply symbol score values, never the static score values (50-20000) that appear in the bumper tiles. To be successful in Fortune 5 it is VERY important to remember that a discarded tile will NEVER result in that same tile.

Bumper tiles

Bumper tiles all have a definitive secondary use, so a discarded tile results in a predictable symbol or symbol type. A discarded basic will ALWAYS result in another basic, but never the same basic that was discarded. Bumper tiles only contain only the bumper tile symbols listed on the “how to play board” and specifically bumper tiles never generate basic symbols in a multiplier format, but will generate basic symbols.

Between the main tiles and bumper tiles Fortune Five has more possible combinations then stars in the known universe, however players can successfully navigate symbol choices with knowledge from the below charts.

To help advanced players in competition we have provided the list of probabilities and alternate probabilities when a symbol is discarded.

Changed probabilities for discarded symbols

When the player discards a symbol (does not keep a symbol), the symbol generation probability changes due to the discarded symbol being discarded
