The internal currency used on the Pi Games website are Pi Coins. There are three types of coins:
P$$ or Gold Coins - are won by playing games and can be exchanged for USD at a specific rate (see Sell page).
P$ or Silver Coins - are used as payment to play games, games cost between P$23 and P$5003. Silver coins can be purchased for USD via PayPal. Every time you pay into the game using Silver Coins a portion of this amount goes into growing the contest prizes.
P¢ or Copper Coins - are awarded for winning in Credit Contests as well as being given as promotion bonuses. They are used to play games just like the Silver Coins, however using Copper Coins does not grow the contest prizes.
Buy P$ (Silver Coins)
To buy P$ go to the Orders page (link is in the top menu), then go to "Place Buy Order" page using the link on the "Orders" page.
Select the amount of coins that you want to buy and press "Select Amount" button. Confirm that the selected amount is right and press "Buy now" button. You will be taken to the PayPal website where you complete the transaction. Once complete the order status will change to "Complete", it will be listed in "My order history" list on the "Orders" page. Your account will be automatically credited with the amount of P$ you purchased.
If you cancel your order on the Pi Games website before you complete the transaction, don't pay on the PayPal website for this order, but start the process all over again, otherwise your account won't be credited (but your transaction will be recorded).
You can only have one open "Buy" order at a time.
Win P$$ (Gold Coins)
You can get P$$ by winning in the game contests run on the website. Check the "Contests" section of this manual for more detailed information.
Win P¢ (Copper Coins)
You can get P¢ by winning in the Credit Contests run on this website. Check the "Contests" section of this manual for more detailed information.
Exchange P$$ for P$
If you run out of P$ but still wish to continue to play the games, you can exchange some of your P$$ for P$ on the "Account" page at 1:1 ratio.
Sell P$$ for real money
To sell P$$ for real money (US dollars), go to "Orders" page and follow the "Place Sell Order" link on that page. You will be taken to the sell order page. Where you need to fill out the amount of P$$ you wish to sell and specify a PayPal id (email) you wish the money to be sent to.
Sell orders are processed manually by the administrators, for security purposes. Depending on the volume it may take a few days to a week to process your Sell order.
You are limited to one open Sell order at a time. Additionally there is a limit to how much P$$ you can sell in one order.
You can cancel your orders on the "Orders" page, before they are processed by the administrators.
